High school seniors residing in the 50 states, D.C., or Puerto Rico with at least a 2.5 GPA and demonstrated financial need who plan full-time enrollment at an accredited two- or four-year U.S. college may apply. One hundred recipients receive $5,000 per year, renewable for up to four years (up to $20,000 total per student).

The American Psychological Foundation's David H. and Beverly A. Barlow Grant awards $7,500 to support innovative basic or clinical research on anxiety and anxiety-related disorders, conducted by graduate students and early career researchers. Applicants must be graduate students or early career researchers no more than 10 years postdoctoral, be affiliated with a nonprofit charitable, educational, or scientific institution or a governmental entity operating for charitable and educational purposes, have demonstrated knowledge of basic or clinical anxiety research, and show competence and capacity to execute the proposed work.
