About this scholarship
Female undergraduate juniors or seniors and graduate students enrolled full-time or part-time at accredited U.S. colleges may apply for WIIT merit scholarships supporting the study of international trade.
Winners receive $3,000 paid to their institution, plus one year of WIIT membership and mentorship. Scholarships are awarded twice per year.
Submit a 5 to 10 page double-spaced essay on a relevant international trade topic, an information sheet, and a transcript by November 1 for the fall cycle (April 1 for the spring cycle).

- Must identify as female
- Currently enrolled at an accredited U.S. university/college (full or part-time)
- Must be an undergraduate Junior/Senior or a graduate student
- Essay length: minimum 5 and maximum 10 numbered pages (exclusive of endnotes/bibliography), double-spaced, 12pt Times New Roman, submitted as a Word document
- Remove all personal identifying information from the essay
- Essay must include a thesis statement, critical analysis of both sides, and endnotes or bibliography
- Use of AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Google Gemini) to generate or assist in generating essay content is strictly prohibited
- Award amount: $3,000; deadlines April 1 and November 1
