About this scholarship
Students registered at the First Nations University of Canada may apply if they are enrolled in the Bachelor of Indigenous Education, Elementary Program and have completed at least six credit hours in Indigenous Language courses, or if they are enrolled in the First Nations Language Certificate Program.
The award amount varies. Preference goes to students over 30 who intend to teach a Canadian Indigenous language at the primary or elementary level. Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal students are eligible.
Apply with an application form, a program sheet completed by an Academic Advisor, a budget, and a cover letter expressing interest in teaching an Indian language at the primary or elementary level.
