The ACI Foundation offers about 50 awards each year to high-potential students in concrete-related degree programs: scholarships carry a $5,000 educational stipend for tuition, residence, books, and materials, while fellowships carry a $10,000 stipend plus paid travel to two ACI Concrete Conventions. Eligible fields include civil and structural engineering, construction management, architecture, and materials.
Applicants must be full-time students enrolled in a concrete-related degree program during the award year and proficient in English. Fellowship applicants must attend an accredited institution in the United States or Canada. Underrepresented high school seniors and college students attending full time at Brighthouse Scholar Connections partner schools in the Charlotte, North Carolina area may apply. Awards provide up to $10,000 per year, renewable for up to four years with reapplication, for a maximum of $40,000. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and maintain at least a 2.7 GPA. Submit a personal statement, writing sample, resume, academic transcripts, and a letter of recommendation. High school seniors also submit a college acceptance letter.
