Scholarships at San Diego State University

The Donald Grey Wilson Endowed Scholarship was established in 1992 by SDSU faculty emeritus Donald Grey Wilson of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. It provides annual scholarship support for undergraduate students in the College of Engineering. Each scholarship awarded from this endowment has a minimum value of $8,000. The LT Florence B. Choe Memorial Endowed Scholarship supports graduate students pursuing public health in SDSU's Graduate School of Public Health. Awards range from $500 to $2,000 per year with no more than $2,000 total awarded annually. Recipients must remain enrolled at least half-time. This is a one-time award. The Graduate Equity Fellowship supports California resident master's students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who demonstrate potential to complete a graduate degree within two years. ASHRAE advances the arts and sciences of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration. The endowment was established in 1986 and the first student scholarship was awarded in 1987. The Charles Hostler Institute Scholarship is an academic merit-based award supporting Fowler College of Business students or International Business majors who enroll in a semester-length study abroad program. The Conrad Prebys Endowed Entrepreneurship Scholarship, part of the Prebys Scholarship Series, supports SDSU students actively involved in the Lavin Entrepreneur Program or Zahn Innovation Platform Launchpad. Unlike many college scholarships, this award is open to all majors and all class levels. Recipients must enroll full-time. Award amounts are determined by the selection committee based on fund availability. The H. Donald Lynn Trust Scholarship provides support to upper-division undergraduate students with financial need in SDSU's Division of Faculty Advancement and Student Success. The Kasch-Boyer Endowed Scholarship honors Dr. Frederick W. Kasch and Dr. John L. Boyer and supports graduate research and professional development in SDSU's School of Exercise and Nutritional Sciences. Applicants must have completed at least six ENS graduate units with a minimum 3.50 graduate GPA and submit a narrative up to 1,000 words plus an itemized budget. Award categories include graduate research support up to 50% of direct research expenses, tuition fee support up to 50% of in-state graduate basic tuition and fees, professional meeting attendance, and study at another university up to $1,000 for travel or housing.
