Scholarships at Morgan State University

The Standard Actuarial Science Scholarship at Morgan State University supports underserved students with financial need who are pursuing a bachelor's degree in actuarial science and planning a career in the field. The renewable four-year award provides up to five thousand dollars per year and includes an offer of a paid internship at The Standard during the school year or summer. Morgan is the only HBCU offering an actuarial science bachelor's degree. The program advances diversity in the actuarial profession and connects scholars with industry mentors and networking opportunities.

The Earl S. Richardson Scholarship awards up to two thousand dollars per year for up to three consecutive years to continuing and transfer applicants to the Clara I. Adams Honors College at Morgan State University. Recipients must maintain the Honors College minimum cumulative GPA of 3.4 and meet all other honors requirements. The scholarship depends on availability of funds and may be adjusted based on institutional funding each year. It is applied in addition to other aid up to the student's cost of attendance budget.

The Crankstart Foundation Reentry Scholarship Program at Morgan State University supports adult learners returning to complete a bachelor's degree after an educational gap of five or more years. Eligible students must be enrolled part time or full time at Morgan, be ages twenty-five to fifty, be U.S. citizens and Maryland residents, and maintain a GPA of 2.7 or higher. The foundation has renewed multi-year agreements with Morgan to fund need-based scholarships for reentry students showing academic promise. The Charlotte W. Newcombe Scholarship for Mature Students at Morgan State University supports students age twenty-five or older pursuing their first bachelor's degree who have completed at least half the requirements toward their intended degree. Recipients may enroll full time or part time, must maintain a GPA of 2.50 or higher, and must demonstrate financial need. Morgan's Center for Continuing and Professional Studies administers the program with foundation funding. Interested students complete the CCPS scholarship interest form to request an application.

The NSF CyberCorps Scholarship for Service at Morgan State University provides up to three years of support for cybersecurity education to juniors and seniors in the Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering cybersecurity track and to Secure Embedded Systems master's and doctoral candidates. Benefits include full tuition and fees, an annual stipend of twenty-seven thousand dollars for undergraduates or thirty-seven thousand dollars for graduate students, and up to six thousand dollars for professional development. Recipients must agree to work for the U.S. Government in a cybersecurity role after graduation for a period equal to the scholarship length.
