Scholarships at Juniata College

Juniata College students who wish to continue studying Spanish or French may apply for the Eagles Abroad Scholarship Program, which supports multiple study abroad experiences and global language engagement. The program includes a post-freshman summer language immersion abroad for college credit. Recipients receive up to $5,000 per year credited to their Juniata account for a full academic year abroad at an approved site, or up to $2,500 for one semester abroad. Apply by the January 1 deadline for optimal consideration.

The Eagles Abroad Scholarship Program at Juniata College supports students committed to continuing Spanish or French language study through immersive global experiences. Winners receive a free Juniata-organized post-freshman summer language immersion abroad for college credit, $2,500 credited to their account for a semester abroad or $5,000 for a full year at an approved site, ongoing language coursework each semester on campus, and participation in Language in Motion. Nominees are identified during admission review based on demonstrated interest in language and culture, not prior proficiency. Semi-finalists interview with language faculty; students who apply and are accepted by January 1 are eligible for consideration.

Concert Ensemble Music Scholarships at Juniata College offer up to $5,000 per year to non-music-major vocalists and instrumentalists who audition and commit to participating in a choral or instrumental ensemble each semester. Eligible candidates must be admitted students entering Juniata in Fall 2026 with an interest in vocal or instrumental music. Applicants may compete for both choral and instrumental awards. Every student who auditions receives at minimum a $500 one-time scholarship. Scholarship winners must remain in their assigned ensemble each semester to retain the award. Registration and audition scheduling are completed through the Juniata music scholarship portal.

Juniata Art Scholarships support admitted students planning to study Studio Arts or Integrated Media Arts throughout four years at Juniata College. Awards range from $500 to $5,000 per year based on portfolio review; every student who completes a review receives at minimum a $500 one-time scholarship. Scholarship winners must enroll in at least one art course per semester designated by AR or IMA course prefix. Portfolio reviews are conducted in person or remotely during scheduled windows, and applicants submit a digital portfolio of ten artworks plus a 500-word essay explaining why they want to study art.
