Scholarships at George Fox University

Incoming George Fox University first-year and transfer students may earn additional scholarship funding through the Scholarship Summit program on top of their merit award. Participants who complete both program trails may earn $1,000 to $3,000 per year in stack-on funding, depending on application timing. Early Action applicants qualify for up to $3,000 and Priority Decision applicants for up to $2,000. University-funded stack-on awards are capped at $5,000 above the merit scholarship. Admitted students receive email instructions to complete Trail 1 and department interviews for Trail 2. The program is available only to incoming freshmen and transfer students.

The Multicultural Leadership Scholarship at George Fox University awards one thousand to two thousand five hundred dollars per year to student leaders committed to diversity and multicultural awareness. Recipients join the Mosaic Scholars Program and participate in retreats, cohort meetings, leadership events, and service activities throughout the year. All multicultural scholarship recipients must maintain a 2.5 GPA, attend the Mosaic Retreat, meet monthly, lead or volunteer in two leadership or service events each semester, and attend bi-monthly All Scholars meetings. Applications typically open in February with a mid-March deadline. Awards renew annually when program requirements are met.

George Fox University offers a merit-based FIRST Robotics Scholarship of two thousand five hundred dollars per year to a high school senior who participated on a FIRST Robotics Competition or FIRST Tech Challenge team. Applicants must apply and plan to enroll full time at George Fox, maintain at least a 3.5 GPA, and submit a completed application package by January 15 including a five hundred word essay on how FIRST affected career goals and a mentor recommendation letter. The scholarship is renewable up to four years while meeting regular academic requirements for admission and enrollment. The University Theatre Artistic Achievement Scholarship at George Fox University awards one thousand to two thousand dollars per year to incoming students who demonstrate talent in acting, design, technical theatre, or stage management. Acting applicants audition with two contrasting ninety-second monologues; design and technical applicants submit a portfolio and interview. Preference is given to students declaring a theatre minor. To renew, recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA, participate in at least two main-stage productions annually, and attend Theatremakers meetings when schedules allow. Submit the application to the theatre artistic director one week before a Scholarship Summit visit or by department deadlines.
