Scholarships at Colorado Mountain College

Mentorship-based scholarship program for first-generation students from Summit County who start at Colorado Mountain College for at least one year. Scholars receive up to $1,100 per year as freshmen and sophomores and up to $4,800 per year as juniors and seniors through The Summit Foundation, plus monthly one-on-one mentoring, academic coaching, career counseling, and transfer navigation. Participants must meet with a community mentor monthly, provide progress updates, maintain at least a 2.5 GPA, and stay enrolled at CMC or a transfer institution. Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative matching awards for Colorado Mountain College students working toward a credential or degree. Matching Student Scholarships are open to Colorado residents or ASSET students paying in-state or in-district tuition who meet income guidelines, maintain financial aid satisfactory academic progress, and file a current-year FAFSA or CASFA. CMC uses one COSI application to place eligible students into the best-fit scholarship. Awards at CMC generally range from $1,500 to $4,500 depending on program of study and enrolled credits. Semester scholarship for in-district Colorado Mountain College graduates who complete an associate degree at CMC and continue immediately into a CMC bachelor's degree program. Awards apply for four consecutive semesters excluding summer: $500 per semester at fifteen or more credits, $400 at twelve to fourteen point nine credits, and $250 at six to eleven point nine credits. Students must graduate with an AA, AS, or AAS from CMC, maintain good academic standing during the associate program, and begin the bachelor's degree the following semester. The program launched with spring 2019 graduates; earlier graduates are ineligible.

COSI ASAP replication at Colorado Mountain College providing comprehensive support for students aiming to complete an associate or bachelor's degree by May 2028. Benefits include a dedicated success coach, priority registration, academic and career services, tuition gap funding after other aid, regular basic-needs stipends, and textbook or supply funding. Associate seekers need twenty-four or fewer college credits after high school; bachelor's seekers follow published credit limits on the ASAP page. Participants must attempt twenty-four credits per year, hold a 2.5 cumulative GPA, maintain SAP, and file the FAFSA or CASFA. New admissions are waitlisted when cohorts are full.
