Scholarships at University of Baltimore

Competitive MBA scholarship for University of Baltimore students pursuing entrepreneurship through the Merrick School of Business. Up to five awards valued at $8,620 per year plus a $1,000 annual stipend are available; recipients must hold a cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 3.5, complete an application, and participate in a mini-pitch competition. Both full-time and part-time MBA students may apply, with preference for applicants who earned an undergraduate business degree from an AACSB-accredited school. Dollar amounts are subject to change. Competitive scholarship for Baltimore city government employees, including police and fire personnel, who have worked full-time for the city at least twelve consecutive months and need financial assistance to pursue a UBalt undergraduate or graduate degree. Undergraduate applicants need at least 60 transferable credits and a 2.5 GPA; graduate applicants need a conferred bachelor's degree with a 3.0 GPA. Awards cover up to one-half of tuition and fees for up to eight undergraduate semesters or six graduate semesters and require FAFSA submission, demonstrated high financial need, half-time enrollment, and annual employment verification. The award cannot be combined with UBalt merit, foundation, or other institutional scholarships.

Reimbursement grant for College of Public Affairs students attending conferences, professional meetings, or trainings related to their program. Each student may receive one grant of up to $500 per academic year toward airfare, mileage, lodging, registration, or banquet fees. Applicants must complete the CPA Professional Development Request Form, explain the event's value to their education, provide faculty support, and submit receipts for reimbursement after travel. Apply at least four weeks before the event; the college does not prepay expenses.

Merrick School of Business scholarship for undergraduate students, preferably accounting majors though any undergraduate major may apply. Applicants need a 3.0 GPA or higher, must come from a single-income family, and must demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA. Both full-time and part-time students may apply. Each applicant submits a two-page essay explaining need for the scholarship and demonstrating good moral character. Awards are made from Merrick and UBalt Foundation funds when available.

Memorial scholarship for full-time University of Baltimore undergraduates majoring in accounting or business with a GPA of 3.25 or higher. The FAFSA is not required. Entrepreneurship scholarship for University of Baltimore undergraduates who are alumni of any Baltimore City high school and major in entrepreneurship. Applicants need a cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.0, must maintain a 3.0 GPA while enrolled full time at UBalt, and must demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA. Awards are made from Merrick scholarship funds when available through the school's application process.

UBalt Foundation endowment for full- or part-time undergraduate or graduate honor students in the Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences who demonstrate financial need and complete the FAFSA. Preference is given to students preparing for careers in education, literature, nursing, philosophy, or religion. Recipients must remain in good academic standing and meet credit-hour minimums for their enrollment level.

CAS scholarship for current and new part-time undergraduates pursuing a first bachelor's degree who demonstrate unmet financial need. First priority goes to single parents who meet requirements and do not receive employer tuition benefits. Applicants need a 3.25 GPA before UBalt enrollment, must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA, enroll in at least six credits, complete the FAFSA, an institutional aid form, a scholarship application, and an essay, and must continue to reside in the United States after graduation.
