Scholarships at University of Alaska System

The Chris Knudson Northrim Accounting Scholarship is an endowed University of Alaska Foundation award created by Northrim Bank in memory of Chris Knudson. It supports UA students majoring in accounting at UAA, UAF, UAS, and associated community campuses, including part-time students pursuing associate, bachelor's, or master's accounting degrees. The endowment provides $1,500 scholarships for students at each major UA university, totaling $4,500 in annual awards across the system. Students apply through the UA Foundation scholarship portal.

The Anne Duffy Painting and Sculpture Endowed Scholarship provides $1,000 per academic year toward tuition and related educational expenses for graduate students majoring in painting or sculpture at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. It is one of several endowed art scholarships administered through the UAF Art Department and UA Foundation. Graduate art students should complete UAF Financial Aid requirements and the UA Foundation scholarship profile by February 15, then contact the Art Department about department scholarship opportunities.

The Marianna Missy Boaz Woodward Memorial Endowed Scholarship awards at least $1,000 per academic year toward tuition and related educational expenses for University of Alaska Fairbanks students in the Ceramics Program. It is administered through the UAF Art Department alongside other endowed art scholarships. Students complete UAF Financial Aid requirements and the UA Foundation scholarship profile by February 15, then coordinate with the Art Department for award consideration.

The Becky Patterson and Murphy Turner Endowed Scholarship provides financial assistance for tuition and related educational expenses to motivated nontraditional University of Alaska Anchorage undergraduates working toward degree completion. Established by professor emerita Becky Patterson Bunde, the fund prioritizes students who interrupted their education and returned with strong commitment to graduating. Recipients are selected through the UA Foundation AWARDED scholarship application and UAA awarding processes.
