Transportation Scholarships in Canada

The Air Access Bursary provides 150 awards of $10,000 to Alberta residents enrolled full-time in Mount Royal University's aviation or pilot-training program. The bursary supports training for high-demand aviation careers in Alberta.

Students in their second semester or later enrolled in any program in SAIT's School of Transportation may apply. You must show financial need, academic achievement, and a connection to the Korean community or Korean descent. If no Transportation applicants qualify, a student in the School of Business may be selected. One award of $1,500 is offered for the Fall semester. Apply through mySAIT Student Awards and Financial Aid. The Kim Lee Family funds the award.

Third-semester Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Technology students at SAIT in the School of Transportation. You should demonstrate financial need and academic achievement, show interest in gaining a helicopter maintenance specialty, and reflect group leadership and collaborative classroom involvement. International students may apply. The Vaughn Killeen Memorial offers two $1,075 school-specific awards for the Winter semester. Apply through mySAIT Student Awards and Financial Aid by January 28.

Indigenous students in their second semester or later enrolled in the Automotive Service Technology program at SAIT who demonstrate financial need and academic achievement. One award of $1,000 is offered for the Fall semester. Apply through mySAIT Student Awards and Financial Aid by September 28. Preference goes to members of the Tsuut'ina Nation. The 2027 Energy Job Shop Skilled Trades Scholarship awards $1,000 CAD to a United States or Canadian citizen or permanent resident age 18 or older who is taking practical steps toward a skilled trades, engineering, technical, energy, construction, transportation, or industrial career. Students, apprentices, career transitioners, veterans, and working tradespeople may apply while enrolled in or preparing to enter a recognized apprenticeship, technical program, or industry certification pathway. Applicants submit a public four-step form and upload an essay of no more than 500 words explaining their career path and plan to succeed in a competitive labor market.

Canadian citizens or permanent residents enrolled or enrolling full-time at an accredited Canadian college or university in an undergraduate logistics or equivalent program may apply. A minimum 2.5 GPA is required. Employees and professional affiliates of North American Van Lines and their immediate families are not eligible. One entry per applicant. Two scholarships of $1,000 each are awarded. Payment is made by cheque to the school. Submit the online application with a recent transcript, proof of enrolment, and a 400- to 800-word essay on why logistics or supply chain management matters in your major.

Open to third-semester students enrolled in Automotive Service Technology or Business Administration Automotive Management within SAIT's School of Transportation who demonstrate academic achievement. The successful candidate must provide a letter of recommendation from an employer or teacher. Preference is given to female students. One award is available for each program. Two awards of $1,000 each are offered for the Winter semester. Apply through mySAIT Student Awards and Financial Aid by January 28. Supported by the Automotive Industries Association of Canada.

Canadian college or university students enrolled full-time in an automotive aftermarket-related program may apply. Eligible fields include automotive apprenticeship, auto body, hard parts, heavy-duty mechanics, or motive power. One award of $700 is granted annually. Submit a personal statement, instructor recommendation, transcript, leadership summary, and financial need statement. The award honours AIA Canada leader Arthur Paulin and his legacy of innovation and dedication to education in the auto care industry.

Cash bursary awarded to the gold medalist in the Aerospace Technology competition at the Skills Canada National Competition, sponsored by AMFA Local 605. The $500 award supports the winner's career in the aircraft maintenance industry. Competitors qualify through provincial Skills Canada qualifying events and advance to the national competition held each May. The bursary is presented alongside competition medals at the national event.
