Open to third-semester students enrolled in Automotive Service Technology or Business Administration Automotive Management within SAIT's School of Transportation who demonstrate academic achievement. The successful candidate must provide a letter of recommendation from an employer or teacher. Preference is given to female students. One award is available for each program.

Undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in a nursing degree program at a Georgia post-secondary institution may apply. Diploma programs are excluded, and applicants need a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. The Higher Foundation and Sage Consulting Partners award one $2,000 Shirley Ann Steinback-Hawthrone Scholarship. Round 1 is open from May 1, 2026 through January 1, 2027. Applicants complete the public four-page Jotform with their contact and school information, a basic-needs response, an official college transcript, a one-page nursing essay, a professional headshot, and demographic and financial-aid questions. Only selected finalists later complete the separate Round 2 video and enrollment-verification requirements.
