Scholarships at Western University

Western University full-time undergraduate students in any faculty who demonstrate financial need and maintain at least a 70% average. Two awards of $3,800 each. Apply through the online financial assistance profile in Student Center by September 30.

Western University full-time English students with a minimum 80% average and financial need may receive the Gordon and Myrtle Stevenson Scholarship in English. Preference goes to students who attended high school in a rural area. One award of $3,200 is available. Apply through Student Center by September 30. Established by Marjorie Stevenson Miller (BA Arts '57) through Foundation Western to honour her parents Gordon and Myrtle Stevenson.

Full-time Western University Faculty of Social Science main-campus undergraduates in second, third, or fourth year with a minimum 70% average may receive Social Science Students' Council Leadership Awards. Eleven annual awards of $3,100, based on demonstrated leadership and extracurricular participation on campus and/or at local, national, or international levels. Open only to students completing their first undergraduate degree who have not previously won. Submit a one-page statement of qualifications (including paid employment if relevant) and two reference letters.

Open to Honours Business Administration students nominated by their classmates as sociable, friendly, positive, hard-working people who are a pleasure to be around. One memorial award of $3,000 is granted.

Western University undergraduate students entering third or fourth year in the concurrent Civil Engineering and Business Administration (CEE/HBA) program who demonstrate leadership and proven interest in construction may apply. Preference is given to third-year students. One award of $3,000 is offered annually. Submit a statement of interest to the Faculty of Engineering Associate Dean (Academic) by September 30.

Full-time undergraduate students at Western University in any year of the Honors Business Administration program who demonstrate financial need may qualify for this OSOTF bursary. One award of up to $3,000 is available. Apply through the online Financial Assistance Profile in Student Center by October 31.

Full-time Western University Faculty of Social Science student, based on academic achievement in Year 2. Preference goes to students with the greatest increase in annual average between first and second year, who also show creative and innovative thought, strong extracurricular achievement, and active citizenship. Two awards of $2,500 are available. Apply through the Office of the Registrar.

Open to full-time Doctor of Medicine students at Western University's Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry who demonstrate financial need and hold a university degree in Math or Physics. Preference goes to candidates entering first year. One bursary of $2,200 is awarded. Apply through Western's financial assistance process for bursary consideration.

Western University Faculty of Law students with demonstrated financial need may receive the Tremayne-Lloyd Family Bursary. One bursary of $2,200 is awarded. Apply via the Financial Assistance Profile in the Western Student Centre by October 31. The Office of the Registrar selects recipients.

Western University students in Mechanical and Materials Engineering (any year) who are involved in extracurricular activities at the university and in the community may apply. Preference is given to students in a concurrent degree program. One award of $1,800 is available. Obtain an application from the Office of the Registrar and submit it with an essay of no more than 300 words. Applications are due September 30.
