Scholarships at Trent University

Returning full-time undergraduate varsity student-athletes at Trent University who demonstrate leadership, academic achievement, and athletic excellence may be nominated for this award by the Director of Athletics and approved by the president. OTSS guidelines apply. Up to two bursaries of $2,500 each are granted annually.

Third- or fourth-year undergraduate students in nursing and psychology programs who have demonstrated academic excellence and financial need may qualify. Preference is given to students with an interest in community development and/or the health of seniors. OTSS guidelines apply. One award is granted annually. The prize amount varies.

Students enrolled in the Trent-Fleming School of Nursing Program at the 3000 or 4000 level may apply for this bursary. OTSS guidelines apply. One bursary is awarded; the amount varies.

Trent University full-time undergraduates majoring in Environmental and Resource Sciences/Studies with an interest in the natural world and its preservation may qualify. The award amount varies. One award is available. Ontario Student Opportunity Trust Fund guidelines apply. Apply through the Trent student portal bursary process in September or January. The award is endowed by the Peterborough Horticultural Society.

Open to undergraduate students in the Canadian Studies program at Trent University. One bursary of varying amount is awarded on the basis of financial need through Trent's in-course bursary process. Established by Robert Johnston in memory of his wife Rhoda, a long-term Trent employee.

Trent University Otonabee College students who show academic achievement and financial need may apply. One bursary is awarded, with a variable amount. Apply through Trent University's student financial aid or college awards process. The Scott Rennie Memorial Bursary supports Otonabee College students. Trent also offers a separate Scott Rennie Otonabee College Spirit Medal with different criteria.

Trent University students from a developing country with high academic achievement and a strong record of community and/or international service may qualify. One renewable scholarship is awarded; the amount varies. It covers international tuition fees and ancillary fees. Apply through Trent student awards.
