Ontario Scholarships

Full-time Engineering students at Western University in year two or higher with a minimum 80% average who demonstrate an academic interest in environmental topics or water issues may apply. One scholarship of $2,500 is granted. Submit a statement of interest by September 30. Established by Trojan Technologies.

For undergraduates in Level 2 or above of an Honours Arts & Science program at McMaster, to fund travel for study, work, research, volunteering, experiential learning, or relief efforts. Typically one award of $2,500. Apply through AwardSpring. Established in 1989 by the Graduating Class of 1937 for their 50th anniversary and augmented by friends of the Arts and Science Program.

Entering law students at the University of Windsor may apply. Demonstrated financial need is required. Recipients must have a strong undergraduate background in English Literature, either as an English major or through multiple English Literature courses including Chaucer or Shakespeare. Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents in Ontario meeting OSAP residency requirements. One entrance scholarship of $1,800 is awarded annually. Apply online through the UWinAward law profile. Established in 2010 by W. Jason Hanson in honour of his law school roommate Robert Beattie.

University of Toronto administrative staff pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree who demonstrate financial need may receive the Beata Fitzpatrick Award. Recipients must be eligible for the U of T staff tuition waiver. The award is approximately $1,500. Eligible staff apply through University of Toronto financial aid and staff award processes while enrolled in a degree program.

Year 2 students in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering at the University of Windsor may apply (a Year 2 Electrical Engineering student may be considered if there is no suitable Mechanical or Industrial candidate). A minimum cumulative average of 75% and interest in an automotive career are required. Preference goes to children of employees or clients of MEDA Limited. Two scholarships of $1,000 are awarded annually, one to a female student and one to a male student. Apply online.

Undergraduate students at the University of Windsor with financial need who meet OSOTF II citizenship and Ontario residency requirements may apply. Four bursaries of $1,000 each are available from the OSOTF II English fund. Apply online through UWinAward.

Canadian citizens enrolled full time in an undergraduate Faculty of Health Sciences program at the University of Ottawa (Interdisciplinary School of Health Sciences, School of Nursing, or School of Rehabilitation Sciences) who take at least six course units in French per term and demonstrate financial need may apply. The scholarship is valued at $1,000. One award is available. Apply via uOZone by November 3 with the Financial Questionnaire and a non-official transcript.

Canadian citizens or permanent residents entering third year of a University of Ottawa undergraduate business administration or management program with at least an A average and demonstrated interest in international management (for example through AIESEC) may apply. The scholarship is available every two years in even-numbered years. One scholarship of up to $1,000 is awarded. Submit via uoZone with a transcript, professor reference, and a 250-word statement by November 3.

British Columbia students at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) who have served the chiropractic profession and CMCC while maintaining good academic standing may be considered. The award value varies with endowment interest. Submit official transcripts and a completed BC award application to CMCC Student Services.

Students enrolled in the Ph.D. program in Education at the University of Windsor may be considered for the Erika Kuendiger Doctoral Scholarship. The award amount varies. Applications are due to the Faculty of Education Graduate Program Office by the annual April deadline. Established in 2002 in memory of Dr. Erika Kuendiger, a professor in the Faculty of Education.
