Industrial Engineering Scholarships in Canada

First Nation, Metis, and Inuit students enrolling full time in a science, technology, engineering, or math program at the University of Windsor may apply. Students need a minimum admission average of 75% and must demonstrate financial need. Preference is given to FNMI students from Ontario. Several awards of $20,000 are available. Recipients may renew for up to three additional years if they maintain a minimum 75% scholarship average in their program of study. Full-time undergraduate students in the University of Ottawa Faculty of Engineering or Faculty of Science who are Indigenous, racialized, or LGBTQ2S+ community members and demonstrate financial need may apply. The award is $3,000, with a minimum of one recipient. The Canadian National Energy Alliance STEM EDI Scholarship supports underrepresented STEM undergraduates at uOttawa.

Open to Indigenous Canadian citizens or permanent residents who are registered full-time in a natural sciences or engineering degree program at an eligible institution, or employed as a postdoctoral fellow in the natural sciences or engineering at an eligible institution. The NSERC Indigenous Student Ambassadors grant is $2,500. It supports science-promotion work with Indigenous communities and schools, including sharing research and education experiences or participating in science promotion events.

University of Regina Faculty of Engineering undergraduates in third semester or above in industrial, electronic, environmental, petroleum, or software systems engineering, with a minimum 70% CGPA and extracurricular leadership, may apply for this scholarship. Five awards of $500 are given, one per discipline. Academic achievement is weighted more heavily than leadership. Preference may go to students who do not already hold other scholarships above permitted limits. Apply through the Faculty of Engineering by the fall continuing-awards deadline.

University of Waterloo Systems Design Engineering undergraduates in third or fourth year with proven financial need may apply. Eligible students must have resided in Ontario for 12 months before starting post-secondary education and hold a minimum overall average of 75%. Bursary value varies. Applications are due October 31.

Undergraduate students in the University of Toronto Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering who demonstrate financial need may receive the N.Z. Samuels Undergraduate Award UTAPS. Preference is given to Black and/or Indigenous students. Award amounts are based on demonstrated financial need through the UTAPS program. Eligible students with unmet need after government aid apply through the University of Toronto UTAPS application process.
