Scholarships endowed by alumni and friends are awarded on the recommendation of the Faculty of Applied Science. For graduate students, the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies is consulted. There is no separate application.

$5,000Rolling deadlineFor a Bachelor of Applied Science student at UBC Vancouver majoring in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering who has achieved good academic standing. Preference is given to students from communities that have been historically, persistently, and systemically discriminated against. A $5,000 award offered annually through a gift from LAPORTE Engineering Inc. Apply through the Faculty of Applied Science EDI.I awards portal; the award is made on the recommendation of the Faculty. LAPORTE Engineering Inc. provides engineering services to pharmaceutical, agrifood, and bioindustrial facilities.
Environmental Engineering Scholarship
$2,000Rolling deadlineFor student(s) entering fourth year of the UBC/UNBC Environmental Engineering Program who achieved outstanding academic results while carrying a full academic load in third year. One or more awards of $2,000 each are offered by the Faculty of Applied Science. There is no separate student application. Awards are made on the recommendation of the UBC Director of the Environmental Engineering Program.

Amount variesAnnual: November 3Undergraduate engineering students at the University of Ottawa in ECAB-accredited programs who are Ontario residents with financial need, a CGPA of 5.0 or higher, and campus or community involvement are eligible. Award amounts vary and are split between French- and English-language programs. Apply through Online Scholarships and Bursaries in uOZone by November 3 with the Financial Questionnaire and an activities letter.

$1,200Rolling deadlineFull-time Laurentian University Engineering students at the Sudbury campus who demonstrate financial need and maintain a minimum 80% average may apply. The scholarship is $1,200. Submit a Laurentian application; the Student Awards Office makes the final selection. This fund supports engineering students with strong academics and demonstrated financial need.
