Dentistry Scholarships in Canada

For Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and protected persons with a first-class average (as determined by the host institution) who are pursuing an eligible research-based master's or, in some cases, doctoral program at a Canadian institution with a CGRS M allocation. This row is the CIHR stream of the Canada Graduate Research Scholarship Master's program (historically associated with the Frederick Banting and Charles Best name). The award is $27,000 for 12 months and is non-renewable. Up to 3,000 students are supported annually across CIHR, NSERC, and SSHRC. Submit one CGRS M application through the Research Portal to the institution where you intend to hold the award, by December 1 before 8:00 p.m. ET.

Canadian citizens or permanent residents (excluding Quebec) who are 18 or older and enrolled full-time as domestic undergraduates at an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution may apply. One award of $4,000 is available annually. Apply through Multiple Financial Need Bursaries - M.D. Program (99931) in uoZone by October 31 with the Financial Questionnaire and a transcript. The Jacques G. Robichon MD Scholarship for Students Residing in Quebec assists Quebec medical undergraduates with demonstrated need.

Continuing MD students in the University of Calgary Cumming School of Medicine may apply. Selection requires satisfactory academic merit and financial need. One bursary of up to $2,000 is offered annually. Apply through the My UCalgary Portal Cumming School of Medicine awards process. The bursary is funded by Daniel Joo.

Students accepted to or enrolled in accredited U.S. college, trade, or high school STEM programs may apply for South Florida Forensic Engineering's annual STEM scholarship. Submit a one to two page essay, transcript, student ID, and contact details by email. One $1,000 award is made each year. Winners are notified by January 31. High school students accepted into qualifying STEM programs are eligible alongside current college and technical school enrollees.

Full-time undergraduate students in the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine accepted into the Indigenous Program who are Ontario residents, demonstrate financial need, and are in good academic standing may apply. This OTSS scholarship is valued at up to $1,000. Submit via uoZone with the Financial Questionnaire by November 3.

Students enrolled in the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University who demonstrate financial need. Preference goes to sole-support parents. The bursary amount varies. Apply through McMaster AwardSpring with the Medicine bursary application. Established in 2010 by Dr. C.P. Marshall, MBBS (UWI), FRCP (C).

Third- or fourth-year MD students at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine who have demonstrated interest in geriatric medicine by completing a two-week elective or selective clinical rotation in Geriatric Medicine may apply. The Dr. John Rushforth Scholarship supports a student with a particular interest in geriatric medicine.
