About this scholarship
Morehead State University awards up to six YMCA Eagle SOAR Scholarships each year valued at full tuition to entering freshmen or transfer students with fewer than twenty-four semester hours who demonstrate community impact and involvement. The same competitive application used for the Eagle Opportunity Scholarship covers both awards; applicants must be unconditionally admitted and submit admissions materials plus the scholarship packet, including resume, essay, and recommendation, postmarked by December 1. Recipients may renew for up to eight consecutive fall and spring semesters while maintaining a 3.0 cumulative MSU GPA, continuous full-time enrollment, and on-campus housing for at least four semesters, with a fifty-percent reduction if the housing requirement is not met.
