About this scholarship
This fellowship supports currently enrolled Yale College first-year students conducting ten consecutive weeks of full-time original research in the natural sciences, engineering, mathematics, or computer science under a Yale faculty mentor on campus. Recipients receive a five-thousand-dollar stipend and must devote the summer exclusively to the project without other employment or coursework. Applications require a research proposal, transcript, CV, a mentor recommendation, and a second reference letter, submitted through the Student Grants and Fellowships database. Awardees also participate in six weeks of Entering Summer Research workshops. Deadline is March 4 annually.
