About this scholarship

Global food-security research program for high school students who write a three-to-five-page Global Challenge paper on a country and food-security topic, then present findings at a World Food Prize Youth Institute (in-person at partner universities or via virtual institutes in eligible countries). Participants recognized as Borlaug Scholars may advance to the Global Youth Institute. Ten Global Challenge Awards are granted annually, including two top awards of $1,000 for exceptional solutions to global food insecurity.
