About this scholarship
The Wells Family Scholarship, established by UPIKE Athletic Director Kelly Wells and his wife Shawne, awards $1,200 for one year to an undergraduate student at the University of Pikeville. Recipients may be high school graduates or transfers from Maysville, Kentucky, or Floyd, Martin, Letcher, Rowan, or Pike County in Kentucky, or Mingo County, West Virginia. Selection considers accomplishments, leadership qualities, obstacles overcome, and educational and career goals. Unlike merit GPA scholarships, this award requires a separate scholarship application reviewed by the Wells family.
