About this scholarship
The Wallace Scholarship awards ten $30,500 four-year packages each fall to high school seniors who compete in the Wallace Invitational for Scholarships in Engineering at Wichita State. Established through the Dwane and Velma Wallace Endowment, the program supports students studying engineering or computing. Applicants must declare an engineering major, apply for admission by November 1, submit WISE materials by November 8, and meet GPA or test-score thresholds including a 3.5 GPA, ACT 27, or SAT 1260. Winners attend the on-campus WISE competition in November. Wallace Scholars join a cohort with alumni networking and program events throughout their undergraduate engineering studies.
