About this scholarship
The Vote Smart Intern Scholarship at Drake University provides a one-time one thousand dollar award for the semester in which a first-time student completes a Vote Smart internship hosted on Drake's campus. Vote Smart is a nonpartisan voter-education organization where interns conduct research on candidates, legislation, and political data across all fifty states. Interns must commit at least one hundred thirty hours, demonstrate strong research and writing skills, and work objectively without partisan bias. Students offered a Vote Smart internship through Drake should confirm academic credit eligibility with their internship coordinator before accepting.
