About this scholarship
The VCU Deans' Scholarship is a university-level merit award for incoming first-year students automatically considered when the Common Application and official high school transcripts arrive by November 1. Recipients are chosen for academic merit, with leadership, community service, and artistic talent also weighed when relevant. Additional scholarships may be available to students who apply by January 15. Merit awards cover in-state costs and may renew for three consecutive years with at least 28 fall and spring credit hours and a 3.3 cumulative GPA.
