About this scholarship
The Utah Resident Transfer Merit Scholarship Tier 1 supports Utah resident transfer students entering the University of Utah with a cumulative transfer GPA of 3.80 or higher and an earned associate degree or at least 30 completed credit hours at the time of application. No separate scholarship application is required beyond the transfer admission application due by February 1. Recipients receive $5,000 per academic year toward tuition and mandatory fees while enrolled full-time on the main campus. The award renews for up to four semesters when students maintain a 3.50 cumulative GPA and complete at least 24 credit hours each academic year.
