About this scholarship
The USAA Ascent Scholars Program at UT San Antonio is a competitive scholarship for undergraduates in College of AI, Cyber and Computing majors who have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA and enroll in twelve or more semester credit hours. Lower-division students with sixty or fewer credit hours receive $750, while upper-division students with sixty-one or more hours receive $2,500 for the Spring 2026 semester, with supplemental study-abroad funding up to $1,500 total for lower division and $3,500 for upper division. Scholars must meet with career coaches and peer mentors, represent the college at approved events, attend the STEM Career Expo, and complete a high-impact experience. Twenty-four scholarships are awarded each cycle.
