About this scholarship

Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or refugees enrolled full time in an eligible UBC program, receiving full-time Canadian government student loans for a matching study period of at least 12 consecutive weeks, with confirmed enrolment and unmet financial need, may apply for the UBC Bursary. Co-op, certificate, diploma, unclassified, qualifying, visiting, and Access Studies students are not eligible.

Amount varies by assessed need. Apply through the LFSM portal. Main winter applications close September 15, 2026; winter Term 2-only applications close January 15, 2027. Some eligible BC Vancouver undergraduates meeting Access Promise criteria are assessed automatically without a separate bursary application.
