The UA Scholars Award is a $15,000 merit scholarship for Alaska high school students ranked in the top 10 percent of their class at the end of junior year. Students are designated by their high school and must apply for admission to any University of Alaska certificate or degree program by June 30 following graduation, with a final deadline of August 15. The award pays $1,875 per semester for up to eight semesters while the scholar maintains full-time enrollment, a 2.5 cumulative GPA, and satisfactory academic progress at UAA, UAF, or UAS.
