About this scholarship

Trustee Scholars at Wheaton College Massachusetts are top-performing incoming students recognized through the admission merit process for strong academics, leadership, and community service. Along with Balfour, Community, and Regional Scholars, Trustee Scholars receive merit scholarship stipends for summer experiential learning ranging from $3,000 to $4,000. These stipends support unpaid internships, research, service, or other out-of-classroom experiences during the summer after sophomore or junior year. Trustee Scholars are automatically eligible for the affiliated stipend during the appropriate term, while other students apply through Wheaton Edge. Recipients must complete at least 240 summer work hours to receive the maximum stipend amount.
