About this scholarship

The True Scholar award is an automatic merit scholarship for Iowa resident first-year students at Iowa State University who achieve a perfect 4.00 cumulative high school GPA without requiring ACT or SAT scores. Students are considered upon admission and receive the highest non-stackable Office of Admissions award for which they qualify. Recipients must enroll full-time for the fall term immediately after high school graduation, hold U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status, and maintain continuous enrollment of at least 12 credits per semester with resident tuition assessment and a minimum 2.50 cumulative ISU GPA. Full-tuition scholarship recipients are ineligible for this award.
