About this scholarship
Annual scholarship for North Carolina community college graduates who transfer directly to WCU within one academic year of earning an associate degree. Recipients receive one thousand dollars per year, paid five hundred dollars each fall and spring semester, for up to six semesters in eligible STEM, health sciences, or education resident-credit majors. Applicants need a 3.0 or better post-secondary GPA, must apply by April 1 for summer or fall entry or November 1 for spring, and enroll full time on campus. Renewal requires maintaining a 3.0 WCU GPA, twelve credit hours per term, annual FAFSA submission by March 15, and the online scholarship application by February 1.
