The Trans World Airlines Scholarship funds undergraduate and graduate students at any University of Missouri System campus who perform or plan research addressing environmental issues. At least seven awards of seven thousand dollars each are granted annually, paid in two equal semester installments. Undergraduates must have completed at least sixty credit hours; graduate students have no hour minimum. Applicants must be full-time Missouri residents for tuition purposes, submit two letters of recommendation, and complete all materials by April 1. Preference goes to students pursuing environmental science, environmental engineering, natural resources, or environmental law careers.

Oregon artists and arts practitioners 18 or older who have been domiciled in Oregon for at least 12 months may apply for funding to pursue a specific, time-sensitive career opportunity. Applicants must not be enrolled in any degree-granting program and cannot have received COG funding in the past three cycles. Awards range from $500 to $2,000 to cover expenses tied to an invited opportunity such as an exhibition, residency, workshop, conference, or performance. Eligible costs include travel, materials, registration fees, childcare, and professional services directly related to the opportunity. Applications are due twice yearly: September for activities November through October of the following year, and February for activities May through April. Proof of invitation or peer review for the opportunity is required.
