About this scholarship
Merit-based tuition scholarship for incoming freshmen, transfer students, and enrolled undergraduate and graduate students who are U.S. citizens with permanent residency in Southern California from Kern County to the Mexico border. Undergraduates receive ten thousand dollars per year and graduate students fifteen thousand dollars per year, renewable with a 3.0 cumulative GPA and full-time enrollment. Applicants need a minimum unweighted 3.4 GPA and must complete an application and interview. Students receiving Trustee, Presidential, or other scholarships covering half or more of tuition are ineligible. Applications for 2027-2028 open July 15 through November 15, 2026.
