About this scholarship

Open to second-year Osgoode Hall Law School students who have shown an interest in community service and who demonstrate financial need. Recipients must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents and residents of Ontario.

The award is given annually. The award amount varies.

Family, friends, and colleagues established it to honour Madam Justice Moira Caswell, who graduated from Osgoode with an LLB in 1960, practiced commercial and real estate law, and later served on the Provincial Court and the Ontario Superior Court. Community service was central to her life, including board work for Women's College Hospital and other organizations.
