About this scholarship
The Tennessee Valley Scholars Program provides a one-year stackable one thousand dollar scholarship to incoming UNA freshmen from designated counties in north Alabama, southern Tennessee, and northeast Mississippi. Eligible students must have at least a 3.00 unweighted high school GPA, apply for admission by the March 1 excellence scholarship deadline, and submit required transcripts and test scores. Qualifying Alabama counties include Madison, Limestone, Lauderdale, Colbert, and others listed on the excellence scholarship page; qualifying Tennessee and Mississippi counties are also specified. The award stacks with other UNA excellence scholarships within cost-of-attendance limits.
