About this scholarship
The SVSU Cardinal Commitment covers tuition for qualifying Michigan first-time-in-college students for up to five continuous years or through completion of a first bachelor's degree. Eligible students are Michigan residents who graduated high school between 2020 and 2026, enroll full time for fall 2026, and have combined student and family adjusted gross income of one hundred thousand dollars or less with total reportable assets under eighty thousand dollars. SVSU fills any gap between tuition and other grants or scholarships after FAFSA processing. No separate application beyond admission and FAFSA is required.
