The State Employees Credit Union People Helping People Scholarship is a two-year FTCC award for students who demonstrate character, leadership, and community involvement while pursuing a degree. Recipients must enroll in at least 12 credit hours, maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA, have a completed FAFSA on file, and submit a 500-to-700-word essay describing community service or volunteer work. Scholarship funds may cover tuition, books, fees, course supplies, and transportation. Preference goes to students whose parents or guardians work in North Carolina public-sector fields such as government, public health, or public education. Directors, employees, and immediate family members of SECU or the SECU Foundation are ineligible.
