Smithsonian Institution Predoctoral Student Fellowships

Predoctoral Ph.D. candidates who have completed all doctoral requirements except the dissertation and have university approval to conduct dissertation research at the Smithsonian Institution may apply.

This is an independent in-residence research fellowship of 3 to 12 months with Smithsonian professional staff advisors. The award is $45,000. Selection is based on proposal merit, feasibility, and institutional fit.
