About this scholarship
The Shirley Gilbert Nursing Scholarship at Raritan Valley Community College was established by alumna Shirley Gilbert to help nursing students complete their education and launch registered-nursing careers. Gilbert funded the award to give back to the college that provided her own nursing education. RVCC nursing students apply through the Foundation AwardSpring portal during open scholarship windows. Recipients must be accepted enrollees in an eligible nursing program, enrolled in at least six credits, pursuing a first college degree, maintaining satisfactory academic progress, and complete the FAFSA when eligible. F-1 visa students are not eligible for Foundation scholarships as a primary funding source.
