About this scholarship
The Senior Opportunity Scholarship program gives qualifying Coppin State University juniors and seniors a one-time financial award to help complete their degree when they are close to graduation but have exhausted other financial aid. Developed by the Coppin Development Foundation Board of Directors in 2011, the program considers demonstrated financial need and classification status. Students do not formally apply; they must be identified through departmental or academic department recommendation. Eligible students are second-semester juniors or first-semester seniors with at least a 2.2 cumulative GPA. Upon consideration, students submit an unofficial transcript, billing statement, and brief statement of need to the Division of Institutional Advancement. Payment is made directly to Coppin and the award is not renewable.
