About this scholarship
The Room Grant awards $2,500 per year to select out-of-state first-year students with outstanding academic achievement, applied toward University at Albany on-campus housing except Empire Commons. Students receiving room waivers are ineligible. Admissions awards the grant automatically on a test-blind basis with no separate application. It renews for up to three additional consecutive years, for a potential total of $10,000, while recipients remain continuously enrolled full time with satisfactory progress. It cannot be combined with a Flagship Match scholarship.
