About this scholarship
The Robert M. Golden Medal for Excellence in the Humanities and Creative Arts at Stanford University recognizes the top ten percent of honors theses and creative arts projects in the humanities each year. Recipients receive an engraved bronze medal and a monetary award and are honored at the Undergraduate Medals Celebration on Commencement Weekend. Departments nominate theses that excel in originality, research method, contribution to the field, argument, and discipline-appropriate presentation. Students completing a final honors thesis between Summer 2025 and Spring 2026 may be nominated for the 2026 competition through their honors program.
