About this scholarship
The Rising Artist Award is Loyola University New Orleans's combined merit and talent scholarship for College of Music and Media majors. Students indicate their CMM major on the Loyola application and complete required auditions, interviews, or portfolio submissions for their program. Faculty evaluate artistic achievement while admissions evaluates academic merit; eligible students receive one combined award in their admission decision letter. Loyola does not stack separate merit and talent scholarships, so recipients receive the higher qualifying amount. The award renews while students remain in good standing in their CMM major and meet scholarship retention requirements stated in the offer letter.
