About this scholarship
Richter Summer Fellowships support Yale College undergraduates pursuing independent study or research during the summer, not mere travel, employment, or coursework enrollment. Awards up to fifteen hundred dollars are distributed through residential colleges and require a project proposal submitted via the Yale Student Grants Database; fellows ordinarily are juniors though first-years and sophomores may apply, while seniors are ineligible. Internships qualify only when study or research is the primary component. Awardees must disclose other project funding, report awards as taxable income, and submit a written report in the fall.
