About this scholarship

Rensselaer is a sponsor in the National Merit Scholarship Corporation program and provides up to two thousand dollars annually to students who list Rensselaer as their first-choice institution in accordance with NMSC guidelines. Recipients are identified through the National Merit selection process and Rensselaer admission review. The scholarship may be received for up to eight semesters of full-time undergraduate study, or ten semesters for School of Architecture students. There is no minimum GPA required for renewal each year. Students who do not meet NMSC criteria for the maximum award may instead receive the Rensselaer National Merit Recognition Award.
