About this scholarship
The Rensselaer Merit Award is a merit-based institutional scholarship awarded alongside the Rensselaer Leadership Award to recognize exceptional academic and personal achievement among incoming undergraduates. Prospective freshmen and transfer students are automatically considered through the admission and financial aid review process without a separate application. Recipients may receive funding for up to eight semesters of full-time study, or ten semesters in the School of Architecture. Award amounts are determined at admission and do not increase or decrease in subsequent years except as described in the Conditions of Financial Aid Adjustments.
