About this scholarship

The Rensselaer Grant, formerly known as the Rensselaer Alumni Scholarship, is a need-based grant awarded to undergraduates who exhibit strong academic and extracurricular achievement and demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA and CSS Profile. Students do not apply separately; eligibility is determined during the financial aid review process. Award amounts may change if demonstrated need decreases significantly. Recipients may receive the grant for up to eight semesters of full-time study, or ten semesters for School of Architecture students, with no minimum GPA required for renewal provided need continues to be demonstrated.
