About this scholarship
The Reid Music Scholarship supports talented musicians at Lake Forest College through merit-based awards for vocalists and instrumentalists. Available to music majors and non-majors, including first-year and transfer students, the scholarship requires admission to Lake Forest, completion of the Fine Arts Scholarship application, and an audition of contrasting repertoire submitted by video or in person. First-year deadlines are March 1; transfer deadlines vary by entry term. Instrumentalists prepare about ten minutes of contrasting pieces; vocalists prepare two contrasting songs including one in English. To renew, actively contribute to the music department, maintain ensemble membership, and keep a minimum 2.0 GPA reviewed each spring.
